KUALA
LUMPUR: The assumption that vaccine administration is only for children, has caused many Malaysians to still have doubts on the Covid-19 vaccine, says Institute of Medical Research (IMR) pathologist Dr Masita Arip.
She said Malaysian society must have trust in vaccines and get used to vaccination as this is the way to break the chain of infection.
“We in Malaysia are used to the idea that vaccination concerns children, it is not a common thing for adults. So when the country wants to administer vaccines to almost all of its population, or 80 per cent in Malaysia, many were surprised as they were not used to this vaccination culture,” she said.
