Second Amendment Activist Protest Activism Take Action
United States Congress – -(AmmoLand.com)- One sad reality of some of the most extreme anti-Second Amendment legislation is that it will come back in Congress after Congress as long as its sponsor is still out there. The Sabika Sheikh Firearm Licensing and Registration Act is one of these bills.
This legislation was introduced last year in the 116th Congress and covered in Ammoland. It was part of a package of three bills introduced by Representative Sheila Jackson-Lee – the other two being the Santa Fe High School Victims Act and the Kimberly Vaughan Firearms Safe Storage Act. This year, it is labeled under HR 127, as opposed to being HR 4801 in the last Congress.

Washington DC – -(AmmoLand.com)- The decision by Senators Kyrsten Sinema and Joe Manchin to keep the legislative filibuster has given Second Amendment supporters something they desperately needed: Time. The next two years will be critical, both to shift the Senate landscape and to also regain the House.
Sinema and Manchin are not the most reliable of champions. In 2018, we noted that Martha McSally was a better choice as compared to the former. The latter could have been replaced by West Virginia Attorney General Pat Morrissey. Those two races, and the failure to beat Jon Tester loom large now. Had we won, it would mean control the Senate stayed in GOP hands, and it would have been a massive check on the Biden-Harris regime.

Ohio – -(AmmoLand.com)- The retirement announcement by Senator Rob Portman (R-OH) is a chance for Second Amendment supporters to make some big improvements. By the same token, though, it comes with some very real dangers.
Portman was a solid vote in defense of our Second Amendment rights, and he also voted to confirm a lot of judges who would uphold our Second Amendment rights to the federal courts. While he wasn’t always out in front in defending our rights like some other Senators and Representatives, he was a reliable vote.
Where Things Stand At The Federal Level Ammoland Inc. Posted on
U S Capital Building Congress
United States/Washington DC – -(AmmoLand.com)- There is no sugar-coating it: Second Amendment supporters are in a tough spot at the federal level. The fact of the matter is that anti-Second Amendment extremists have taken the Presidency and have very narrow margins in the House and Senate. This is not an impossible situation, but Second Amendment supporters should be under no illusions about the difficult fights in the next four years.
There is good news: California showed that we can adapt to mail-in ballots. The underlying issues remain, and we should not underestimate an enemy willing to turn to censorship, de-platforming, corporate blacklisting, and abuse of power, but if Second Amendment supporters can flip congressional seats in California, we have a damn good shot of overcoming similar obstacles in states like Georgia, which is nowhere near as difficult a climb.
