Long-term low carbon heat support needed to drive green job growth

UK Heat pump installations and domestic energy efficiency improvements will offer massive short and long-term opportunities for green jobs if properly supported by government, according to the Committee on Climate Change (CCC).
Mike Hemsley, team leader on carbon budgets for the Committee on Climate Change (CCC), has said that there is a vital need for government support to continue until at least the 2030s in order to build an industry capable of retrofitting homes at a scale needed to ensure viable low carbon heat.
