Rising Covid infection in students raises concern in Odisha The government must consider it for the wellbeing of all and should be held responsible for any untoward development, said chairperson of the parents body Basudev Bhatt.  Share Via Email   |  A+A A- By Express News Service BHUBANESWAR: After Jharsuguda and Sundargarh, spread of Covid-19 among students of a residential school at Konark in Puri district has sparked disquiet over safety measures in educational institutions following reopening.Sources said four students in a high school functioning under ST/SC Development department in the town have tested positive and are undergoing treatment in isolation. Initially, two students, one hostel inmate and a day scholar, developed symptoms and subsequently samples were collected. They were found infected and later, two more students also tested positive.

The immovable properties of Swain stand at Rs 1.60 crore, of which the lion’s share remains in the name of his wife. He is also having a loan of Rs 20.32 lakh.

Share Updated: Jan 6, 2021, 09:01 AM IST The Odisha government on Tuesday said frequent health check-ups would be conducted in educational institutions across the state for Covid-19 after the reopening of schools and colleges. Taking a review meeting, chief secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra asked the Health Department to undertake health check-ups in educational institutions and hostels as a preventive against any possible large breakout of the pandemic. While schools for classes 10 and 12 would reopen on January 8, colleges and universities for final years would reopen on January 11.

Odisha Career Portal Launched To Assist Students 101 Bhubaneswar: The Odisha School and Mass Education (S&ME) Department, in collaboration with UNICEF, today launched the career portal for secondary and higher secondary students to help them with expert advice with their future careers. The Portal can be accessed through the website www.odishacareerportal.com with the student login ID and password. The portal will provide easy access to information on different careers and will give students an opportunity to interact with teachers. Students will also be able to access career guidance services through a mobile-friendly app created specifically for the portal.
