West Australian residents in New South Wales are facing a tougher return home after the WA Government introduced stricter eligibility requirements for exempt travellers.
WA will limit entry for people trying to enter the state on compassionate grounds, a government spokesperson said.
It follows new health advice from WA Chief Medical Officer Andrew Robertson.

Under the previous border regulations, exempt travellers were allowed to enter WA from NSW, including people on compassionate grounds.
But the state government said travellers would now need to show extenuating circumstances to enter WA.
