Petronet LNG Kochi terminal receives approval for LNG dispensing

The Kochi terminal of Petronet LNG Ltd has become the first LNG dispensing station in the country. The Petroleum Explosive and Safety Organisation has issued permanent license to the terminal for providing automotive fuel to motor vehicles.
Yogananda Reddy, Chief General Manager & Vice President (Plant Head) said the license has been issued after the successful trial run of the station for one year. The company would be setting up more such stations in Kerala with the support of the state government. The importance of having LNG Station would ensure developing a green eco system that would reduce pollution, he said.

Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (
BMTC) said only 50 per cent of the salary had been credited for December and January.

A system has been put in place as part of Santhwana Sparsam, a grievance redressal adalat, to swiftly address the issues faced by the public in the district.
The complaints, which will be classified by officials from various departments, will be handed over immediately to the district offices. All steps have been taken to ensure complete success of the adalat, Social Justice Department Secretary Biju Prabhakar, who is the coordinator for the adalat in the region, said in an overview meeting here on Friday.

Many students have been complaining about the lack of cooperation from
Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (
KSRTC) bus drivers or conductors while boarding the bus. S Suresh
Kumar, Primary and Secondary Education Minister, was witness to such an incident.
On Saturday, Kumar was travelling from Bengaluru to
Madhugiri (
Tumakuru) in his official car. At Koratagere, he saw many students waiting for a bus and to his surprise, he saw a bus speed away without stopping. Kumar asked his driver to chase the bus and stopped it, reprimanding the staff for not doing their duty.
