With the directive by the National Universities Commission (NUC) to universities in the country to resume on January 18, 2021, one university where students are anxiously looking forward to resume the 2020-2021 academic session is PAMO University of Medical Sciences (PUMS). For them and their parents, the good news is that the institution is resuming few months after the NUC fully accredited their courses and programmes to their delight and that of the management of the institution.

Sokoto, Dec. 23, 2020 Mr Uche Secondus, National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Wednesday commissioned developmental projects executed by the administration of Gov. Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto state.
Speaking at the ceremony in Sokoto,Secondus lauded Tambuwal for striving hard to execute the projects, in spite of limited resources.
He said that the execution of the projects has demonstrated the commitment of the governor towards fulfilling his campaign promises to the people.
Naija247news reports that some of the projects included rural water supply scheme, teaching hospital, diagnostic centre and roads.
Secondus said that the provision of the teaching hospital and modern international diagnostic centre would help reduce medical tourisms in Nigeria.

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has signed into law the 2021 Appropriation Bill and promised that it will be implemented in providing basic infrastructure for the good of the State.
Signing the 2021 Budget at the Banquet Hall of Government House, Port Harcourt on Thursday, Governor Wike said his administration is working assiduously to sustain the tempo of development that has continued to stand the state out in the federation.
He assured those who have wondered why the on-going projects in their local government areas were not mentioned when he presented the budget to the State Assembly that such projects are already captured as special projects and will be completed.
