The country is currently under several wind warnings of various degrees this Valentines Day, with high winds set to batter the island for the next few hours.
Here s a breakdown of what s happening:
SNOW WARNING: Snow and ice warning issued for parts of Ireland

Met Eireann has issued a snow and ice warning for eight counties and a wind warning for parts of the country.
Longford, Cavan, Managhan, Donegal, Louth, Leitrim, Roscommon and Sligo are all at risk of snow and ice tonight, with wintry showers expected.
The warning is in place until 7am tomorrow morning, Monday, December 28.
The UK Met Office has also issued a Yellow Snow and Ice Warning for Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Tyrone, Derry.
There is also a Status Yellow Wind Warning for Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Sligo, Clare, Cork and Kerry
Low pressure system to bring very wet and windy weather to Ireland in coming days

A low pressure system is set to bring wet and windy weather to Ireland on Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
According to Weather Alerts Ireland, a low pressure system will push up from the South bringing very strong winds to the South and the East in particular on Tuesday into Wednesday.
Winds over 100km/h are possible especially on higher ground and exposed coastal areas. Heavy rain is also expected with over 20mm expected in the west and on higher ground.

Met Eireann upgrades weather warnings as strong winds on the way tonight for Ireland

Met Eireann has upgraded and widened Weather Warnings for Ireland with strong winds on the way tonight.
A Status Orange Weather Warning is now in place for Cork with a Status Yellow Warning in place for 17 other counties.
In the Status Orange Wind Warning for Cork, Met Eireann is warning that due to high seas and strong onshore winds, there is the risk of coastal flooding tonight (Tuesday night) and on Wednesday. Gale force southeast winds, veering southwest gusting 90 to 110km/h generally, higher in exposed areas. The warning is in place from 9pm on Tuesday until 9am on Wednesday.

Motorists are being warned to expect the unexpected if they’re driving overnight.
A Status Yellow Wind Warning is in place for the south and east of the country, including Tipperary, from 9pm tonight until 9am tomorrow morning.
A Status Orange Wind Warning is also in place for Cork for the same time period.
Cathal Nolan from Ireland’s Weather Channel assesses what’s on the way for Tipperary.
“We certainly do have inclement conditions on the way over the course of the next couple of days.”
“Certainly tomorrow is when we’re likely to see the worse of those conditions – especially tomorrow morning when we can expect to see gusts of between 80 and 100kph quite widely across Tipperary.”
