The 10th Gaon Chart Music Awards ceremony was held on Jan. 13 to honor outstanding songs and albums released in Korea between December 2019 to November 2020.
K-pop idol group BTS emerged as the biggest winner, bagging six awards. They won Artist of the Year in digital music, which was awarded by month, for February with “ON,” August with “Dynamite” and November with “Life Goes On.”
In Artist of the Year in physical albums, awarded by quarter, BTS won the first quarter with “Map of the Soul: 7” and fourth quarter with “BE.” In addition, “Map of the Soul: 7” was awarded Retail Album of the Year.

Global Stars BTS, BLACKPINK, IU, NCT, and more swept multiple awards during the 2020 GAON Chart Music Awards !
On Jan. 13, Wednesday, the annual GAON Chart Music Awards gave various awards to numerous K-pop stars, artists, and groups in which songs and albums shone the most last 2020, based on Gaon Charts.
Among the music artists that released songs to comfort and give hope to their fans throughout the world amid the pandemic, top-notch artists including BTS, BLACKPINK, Red Velvet, IU, ZICO, NCT along with the rookie groups Stray Kids, ITZY, Aespa, ENHYPEN took home awards, acknowledging their great contributions in the promoting music, particularly K-pop.
