Study Determines How Much Iowa Hates Mondays
It s Monday, and almost no one likes it. Even when working from home, it s a day that can hit you like a ton of bricks after a relaxing weekend, especially when you re staring down the barrel of an incoming barrage of winter weather like we are today. I am actually kind of backward on this stuff. I mean, I hate Mondays too, but I often find them easier than Fridays, which is the opposite of everyone else. That, of course, could all change if my bosses get ideas from seeing this article.
The researchers at the website Zippia have published a new article to determine exactly which states hate Monday the most. We ll get to Iowa s rank in a minute. First, to determine their findings, Zippia analyzed Google trends on four factors. Jobs, coffee consumption, why am I so tired? and states propensities to call in sick.
Athletes from around the state will compete in Dubuque this weekend, January 22-24, celebrating the 2021 Winter Iowa Games presented by Grinnell Mutual. Youth Hockey and Youth Volleyball along with Soccer and Martial Arts for both adults and youths will be held at various venues around the community.
However, as mentioned on the Iowa Games website, the challenges and uncertainty that COVID-19 has presented will prevent the Iowa Sports Foundation and the Iowa Games from appropriately planning, organizing, and producing the events safely. In consideration of the health and well-being of all athletes, volunteers, officials, and staff, they have canceled some of the Winter Iowa Games events.

Iowa Wins Against Wildcats, See Another Game Postponed
Iowa s Luka Garza did not score in the second half of Sunday s game at Northwestern. That line alone might make your concerned about how the Hawkeyes faired on the road. Fear not. This is one deep Iowa team as they proved once again as they topped the Wildcats 96-73.
Garza had 17 points at halftime, according to the Cedar Rapids Gazette, and could of gotten more if he needed to. But he didn t. The 5th ranked Hawkeyes had four other players score at least 11 points in the win. Iowa shot nearly 58% from the field. The passing was top notch too, as seven Iowa players had at least 2 assists. And the three pointers you ask?
