Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger claimed that Democrats barred him from testifying in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee during their hearing on election integrity.
Republicans invited Raffensperger to testify during Tuesday s hearing “Jim Crow 2021: The Latest Assault on the Right to Vote, but the effort was blocked, the Republican secretary of state claimed in a statement. He named Georgia Sen. Jon Ossoff, who won in runoff elections Jan. 5, and didn t name any other senator.
The hearing pertains to the Georgia election bill, which Gov. Brian Kempsigned March 25. The omnibus bill makes a multitude of changes to the way the state conducts its elections, including changes to voter identification requirements, altering mail-in voting, and reducing the time period between an election and a subsequent runoff.

PROGRESSIVE DEMOCRATS GO FOR IT. During the campaign Republicans warned that if Democrats won control of all of Washington White House, House, and Senate they would try to enact a progressive agenda that would have seemed crazy, even to some of those very same Democrats, just a few years ago. If elected, the warning went, those Democrats would try to pack the Supreme Court, to make Washington DC a state, and perhaps even try to pass reparations for slavery.
Now, it s happening. House Judiciary Committee Democrats have written a new bill to increase the size of the Supreme Court. On Wednesday, the House Oversight Committee approved a DC statehood bill. And also on Wednesday, the Judiciary Committee approved a reparations bill.

McALLEN, Texas Rep. Burgess Owens (R-UT) finds the Democrat Party is failing to acknowledge the issue of unaccompanied alien children (UACs) crossing the U.S.-Mexico border, he told Breitbart News in an interview Wednesday during his two-day trip to Texas.
Owens, a newly elected congressman and member of the House Judiciary Committee, visited McAllen with a congressional delegation of several other Judiciary Committee members to tour border facilities and meet with officials within the Rio Grande Valley.

During both the interview and a roundtable with his colleagues and Texas officials just prior to the interview, Owens became tearful as he spoke about a seven-year-old he encountered at a federal facility in Donna that temporarily holds mainly UACs. While a UAC is defined as anyone under 18 years old who has crossed the border illegally without a parent or guardian and many of the UACs

During his testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee,

of topics-which made his statements regarding criminal justice
reform and the effect of systemic racism and implicit bias in the
justice system particularly notable. Criminal justice reform came
