Ekramul Karim Chowdhury, Awami League lawmaker from Noakhali-4, has alleged that party General Secretary Obaidul Quader belongs to a razakar s family.
The lawmaker, also the general secretary of Noakhali district AL, came up with the allegation while speaking on Facebook Live from his verified Facebook account around midnight on Thursday. I will not talk about Mirza Quader. I will talk about Obaidul Quader. A man who belongs to a razakar s family has reached this level, but he cannot discipline his brother. Four persons surrendered in a Judicial Magistrate Court in Mudukalathur in Ramanathapuram district in connection with a murder case reported in Manamadurai three days ago.
Police said that three teams comprising DSP Sundaramanickam was formed after a five-member armed gang attacked two persons - Arulnathan alias Minor Mani (27) of Manamadurai and his accomplice Vinod Kanna (26) of Velur village near here. They were sitting in a tea shop opposite the Manamadurai court buildings when the armed gang attacked them. Arulnathan died on the spot while Vinodkanna was taken to a private hospital in Madurai.

Special teams of the Coimbatore District (Rural) Police on Sunday arrested six persons, including five from Kerala, in connection with a carjacking reported at Navakkarai on December 25, which the police suspect was to steal hawala money.
According to the police, the accused committed the crime to steal suspected hawala money concealed in hidden compartments in the car.
K. Unnikumar alias Raju (44) from Pillaiyarpuram at Podanur, C. Santhosh (36), S. Sandeep (32), C. Radhakrishnan (47) from Palakkad, C. Srijith (27) and M. Subin (29) from Thrissur were arrested on Sunday. Police recovered ₹ 5 lakh from the accused and remanded them in judicial custody.
