Tuan Do, 55, was also involved in the running of cannabis farms which produced tens of thousands of pounds worth of the drug. He has now been jailed for 11 years.

A mother with mental health issues who beat her sleeping seven-year-old daughter so viciously she suffered life-changing injuries is freed after doctors say her psychosis was triggered by cannabis. The woman, 28, who cannot be identified in order to protect her daughter, unleashed a savage attack on the child as she lay asleep in her bed. When horrified relatives found the mother, from the Beswick area of Manchester, she was quoting lines from Shakespeare s Macbeth, as well as scriptures from the Bible. The girl, who is now 10 and in foster care, suffered a severe injuries to her left eye and ear as well as a life-threatening blot clot on the brain during the attack.

A model who suffered an 18-month campaign of harassment from her ex-boyfriend has said she has considered changing her looks to escape him after he warned: I have your life in my hands now . Dagmara Kita, 25, from Manchester, was bombarded with threatening messages, had her bank account hacked and saw her car vandalised twice after leaving Nicholas Doyle over his erratic behaviour in 2019. The jilted ex called Miss Kita up to 61 times in the space of just an hour, while also keeping tabs on her diary and movement. On one occasion hacked into her bank account and spent enough money to send Miss Kita into her overdraft.
