1/1 A county lines drug dealer has been jailed for four and a half years for using the rail network to ferry heroin and crack cocaine from Bradford to supply to addicts in Keighley and Skipton. Naim Sadik, 38, of Toller Lane, Bradford, pleaded guilty to two counts of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs, between mid-August and mid-September, 2019. He was imprisoned at Bradford Crown Court by the city’s Recorder, Judge Richard Mansell QC, who said he had been part of a county lines drugs supply operation that was bringing heroin and crack cocaine into Bradford for onward supply to Keighley and Skipton.

Waqas Hussain and Junaid Khan were the final two defendants to be sentenced as part of Operation Gladberry, a major police surveillance undertaking that led to the recovery of 21 kilograms of high purity cocaine and two kilos of heroin, with a street value of close to £1.25 million. “Furthermore, approximately £273, 000 cash was recovered, representing only a fraction of the monies generated by and laundered through this operation, as well as firearms and ammunition,” the Recorder of Bradford, Judge Richard Mansell QC, said.

Connor Coyle, 27, of Abbotside Close, Bradford, was spotted by police in his then ex-partner s car, which he had taken without her consent, in the early hours of the morning last year. He pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicle taking, driving dangerously and drug driving and was sentenced to 10 months in prison. In sentencing, Recorder Batty said he had clearly not been thinking straight when he was in charge of something that could be in essence a lethal weapon itself.
