Good News: Fairfield HOST Lions Club Donates $500.00 to the Court Appointed Special Advocates Program of Solano County.
At the regular meeting Wednesday of the Fairfield HOST Lions Club, our Guest Speaker was Candy Pierce, Executive Director of the Court Appointed Special Advocates of Solano County Program.
Ms. Pierce presented information of how this program, called CASA for short, is helping the over 400 youth that have been placed into Foster Care in Solano County.
CASA is a 501c3 Non-Profit Community Service Program that receives almost all of its funding coming from donations like that made by the Lions Club.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of South Central Kentucky, an agency that provides trained citizen volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children in the family court systems throughout the region, recently announced that three new Board of Directors have joined their team. The following individuals will be volunteering their time and talents to the organization’s board:

Western KY University
This group of community minded leaders from around the region bring a variety of backgrounds and experience including human resources, event planning, construction, management, marketing/PR, sales/fundraising and accounting. They joined an established Board of Directors of 17, 6 CASA employees, and 88 volunteer advocates.
