SAN DIEGO COUNTY, California Over the past two decades, News 8 has profiled hundreds of foster children in San Diego County in an effort to find them a forever home.
Normally, we meet the kids at the park so they can relax and let loose, giving them the best chance of capturing the attention of a potential family.

Help Create A Happier Holiday Season For Kids In Foster Care While the holidays help bring people closer together, this can be a difficult time for children and families involved in the child welfare system who are not able to spend this time together. When a family is in crisis and becomes involved in the child welfare system, the children are often removed from their homes and placed in foster care, many times far from everyone and everything they know. This holiday season, CASA of Hill County urges everyone to be mindful of the children who are spending the holidays away from those they love, and consider how you can help make a difference.

Aisosa Osaretin will graduate this month with a Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law as well as a Master of Public Service from the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service.
A native of Nigeria, Osaretin moved to Minnesota with her family in 2016. She started law school at Bowen in 2017 and is now one step closer to fulfilling her childhood dream of becoming a lawyer.
“I was really happy to be in law school. It felt like the beginning of a dream come true,” Osaretin said. “I always enjoyed reading the cases just to see how the judge would rule. I enjoy the experience of learning new things.”

This year due to the pandemic crisis I have started working remotely from home and I work just as hard from home as I do at my office downtown.
