Last year, Carla Trier said, the Sheridan Foster Parent Exchange provided over 1,500 services.
Trier is the founder and executive director of the Exchange, and on Friday, she will be recognized as the 2021 Champion for Children during the Sheridan County Light of Hope Celebration.
An annual event of Compass Center for Families, the celebration this year will be a Watch Party starting at noon on Facebook. In a recent interview with Sheridan Media,
Trier said the Foster Parent Exchange has received amazing community support.
The Foster Parent Exchange is a Christian organization that provides needed resources and supplies to foster, adoptive and kinship parents and children. Trier started the Exchange about eight years ago.

CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates. CASA volunteers are appointed by a judge to advocate for a neglected or abused child in the juvenile courts in Loudon, Morgan, and Roane Counties.
Registration costs $225 per boat and participants can sign up on May 8th at Canal Ramp in Lenoir City or in advance by visiting Big Fish Outfitters.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas â Court Appointed Special Advocates or CASA of the Coastal Bend held a fundraiser that can help make a difference in a child s life, with a taste of Latin cuisine. The meals were hosted and served by chefs with Food Works Factory where food experts say they were glad to take part in this event.
âWeâre proud to be here weâre happy to be a part of it, especially for us introducing our truck to the community this is one of the first events we get to do so weâre great that it can be done for such a noble cause,â said chef Manny Gutierrez.
