A B.C. landowner transparency registry meant to combat money laundering that was delayed by a year is now open to the public.
The registry is the first of its kind in Canada and requires corporations, trusts or partnerships that buy land in B.C. to disclose the interest-holders of the land and file that information with the registry through a transparency report.
