This first quarter 2021 performance translates to a return on average assets (ROAA) of 1.79%, compared to the same prior year period of 0.72%. Net interest income before provision expense for the first quarter ended March 31, 2021 was $4.6 million compared to $3.6 million for the same period in 2020, an increase of $987,000.
