MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (FOX19) - Hospital patients at Atrium Medical Center will get a chance to see their families during the holidays thanks to a big donation.
Because of COVID-19 protocols, visitors have been kept out of the hospital, which can make the holiday season lonely for patients.
Blue Star Families in southwest Ohio donated 44 Facebook Portals to Atrium Medical Center. This will make virtual visits with families much easier during the holidays.
Christmas is around the corner but there are hundreds of thousands of military personnel and their families, not just around the corner, but located around the world.
Have you considered doing something for a military veteran or family member to make this Christmas a very special day for them? I can remember how difficult it was for my family and I during nearly two decades of overseas duty. There were many instances where we wished someone would help us, or simply show us they appreciated our sacrifices.
Even today, years after leaving the uniform behind, that wish continues not only for my wife and I, but I am confident it is one shared by all veterans and their families whether on active duty or those having departed from uniform service.

The Evergreen it is made with symbolizes longevity and endurance, great sacrifice is represented by a red bow at the top and the scent of the wreath is indicative of purity and simplicity and the circular shape represents eternity.
