The snow day, for many children, is a quintessential part of growing up in New England. You put a spoon under your pillow, turn your pajamas inside out, and cross your fingers for that magic phone call that school is canceled.
But this year, ahead of the pandemicâs first full winter, many school districts across the region are ditching traditional snow days and turning to remote learning programs instead.
