London’s top ten tourist attractions break record in 2013 March 6, 2014 New figures released today confirm that VisitBritain’s four-year Olympics strategy is indeed working. Four years after the London’ Olympics, visitor attractions at London’s top sites have experienced a 12 percent increase in visitor numbers, according to statistics, released by the Association of Leading Visitor Attractions (ALVA) today (Wednesday, March 5, 2014). According to London & Partners, the official promotional organization for London, the most popular visitor attraction in 2013 remained The British Museum which saw a 20 percent increase in its visitor numbers to 6,701,036 – making it the museum’s most successful year on record. In 2nd place, was the National Gallery, which saw a 14 percent increase to 6,031,574 and in 3rd place, was the Natural History Museum, with 5,356,884.
