MUAR (Bernama): Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin launched the Low Carbon Community Programme in Kampung Sengkang Batu 22, near Bukit Gambir here on Sunday (Dec 13).
Muhyiddin, who is also the Gambir assemblyman, arrived at the village at about 9am and was accompanied by Johor Public Works, Transport and Infrastructure Committee chairman Mohd Solihan Badri and Johor Unity, Trade and Consumer Affairs Committee chairman Dr Chong Fat Full.
A briefing was held for the prime minister on compost fertiliser processing activities by livestock breeder Norazman Alias and Sengkang Low Carbon Community Programme chairman Raja Mohd Aidil Raja Sulaiman.
Muhyiddin also tried handling the grinding machine used in the process of making compost fertiliser using goat dung.

Georgia Farm Bureau members elected Tom McCall for a two-year term as president Dec. 8. McCall of Elbert County grows wheat, oats, triticale, grain corn, sweet corn and hay. The McCall family also raises beef cattle, hogs and sheep.
McCall replaces Gerald Long, who retired from the position after serving as GFB president since 2016. Long, of Bainbridge, served on the GFB Board of Directors in various roles since 1999 including GFB 9th District director, GFB South Georgia vice president and GFB 1st vice president.

California
Unsurprisingly, California was again the vanguard of consumer privacy legislation in the United States. State residents voted yes on Proposition 24 in November, adopting the California Privacy Rights and Enforcement Act of 2020 (CPRA). The CPRA, which will go into full effect on January 1, 2023, amends and broadens privacy rights for California residents.
