M6 reopens after 20 hour closure due to serious crash with massive traffic delays

The M6 has been fully reopened 20 hours after a crash fully shut it
The motorway was fully closed between Junction 17 for Sandbach and Junction 16 for Crewe after a fuel tanker was involved in a collision at about 3pm on Tuesday.
Police and emergency service crews have been at the scene since.
The northbound carriageway was reopened at about 1am but the southbound carriageway remains closed, police said in an update on Wednesday morning.
It eventually reopened at 11.30am.
Highways England say there are substantial delays in the area due to the long closure, though.
