Less than a month after more than $33 million in high-speed Internet upgrades were announced for Grey-Bruce, work has already begun to bring improved services to parts of southern Grey County.
Southwestern Integrated Fibre Technology (SWIFT) announced on Wednesday that construction was underway on a project to bring more reliable high-speed service to residents in the municipalities of West Grey and Southgate.

“After years of careful planning, advocacy and leadership, Grey County is excited to see the SWIFT project breaking ground in our community,” Grey County warden Selwyn Hicks said in a news release. “Soon more Grey County residents and businesses will be connected to highspeed broadband services that have become essential to our lives.”
