Click It or Ticket Campaign Aims to Reduce Roadway Fatalities

The national “Click it or Ticket” campaign runs from Monday, May 24, through Sunday, June 6. “Traffic safety takes all of us working together,” said Colonel John Bolduc, Superintendent of the Nebraska State Patrol. “The stats are clear that seat belts save lives. Every time you get into a vehicle, buckle up and increase your chances of surviving a crash.” “Click it or Ticket” is a national mobilization of law enforcement agencies with a focus on seat belt violations and education. 680/80 Morning Commute Traffic Snarl Smooths Out

By Terry Leahy May 19, 2021 Traffic is moving normally now, but a jack-knifed semi in the rain and peak of morning drive caused major stoppages and slowdowns Wednesday morning on the Interstate in West Omaha. Vehicles came to a stand still on southbound I-680 to eastbound I-80. The semi was on 80 near 108th Street. Stoppages and slowdowns happened on 680 all the way back to West Dodge, north toward West Maple. (Picture from Nebraska Department of Transportation)
