It has been a year since Covid-19 hit the country, yet the staff of the Ministry of Health (MoH) are still committed and working tirelessly in the fight against the deadly pandemic. A posting by the MoH on its Facebook read that work continues as usual by all top management of the MoH and also the ministry's frontliners at hospitals, the Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC), Covid-19 assessment centres (CAC) and clinics nationwide.

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 25 IKEA Malaysia today confirmed that security guards at its Cheras store have tested positive for Covid-19 following a scheduled routine test.
The management in a Facebook posting today said that those who had tested positive last reported for duty on Jan 23.
“All security guards are now in self-quarantine until further notice from the authorities. The health, safety and overall well-being of our co-workers, customers, partners, and community is our top priority.

MySejahtera users who have been registered as Covid-19 positive cases at the Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) will now receive a notification via SMS and alert on the app.
According to Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah in a recent statement, affected users will be provided with guidance and reminders for self-assessment through the app.
The assessments will be available in the ‘Things to do’ section for 10 consecutive days.
If users report any symptoms through the self-assessment, the information will be relayed to the Covid-19 Assessment Centre and a health officer will contact the user for further evaluation.

The Health Ministry is currently fine-tuning its model to integrate the private sector into the government’s Covid-19 response mechanism.
It is understood that the Health Ministry’s Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) has designed a “conceptual model” that would integrate private clinics, e-hailing service providers, private ambulance providers, industries and private hospitals.
Malaysiakini understands that three of the country s biggest private healthcare providers - IHH Healthcare Bhd, Ramsay Sime Darby Healthcare and KPJ Healthcare Bhd - were briefed by the CPRC on this yesterday.
