Connecticut man busted with loaded 9mm at Newark airport: officials Michael Sheridan
A second person inside a week has been caught with a gun in their carry-on luggage trying to board a plane at Newark airport, officials said Wednesday.
An unidentified man from Sherman, Conn., was nabbed Tuesday after TSA agents at Newark-Liberty International Airport’s Terminal C found the gun inside his bag.
The weapon was spotted when the bag went through the X-ray machine, the TSA said in a statement. The 9mm handgun turned out to be loaded with 13 bullets.
The man was arrested on weapon charges, and could face additional federal penalties, officials said.
