For the third consecutive year, Newsweek published its list of the “World’s Best Hospitals,” using global data to identify the top 2,000 hospitals across 25 countries. The global hospitals ranked in the list’s top 200 are from a range of countries, but the top three are based in the U.S.: The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.; the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio; and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, in that order.

RWJBarnabas Health, the largest, most comprehensive academic health care system in New Jersey, is supporting National Donate Life month in April by raising awareness of organ donation within the communities it serves. At Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, an RWJBarnabas Health facility, the Newark Beth Israel Medical Center Heart Transplant Program has transplanted over 1,100 healthy hearts, a milestone made possible only through the aid of organ donors and their families.

NEWARK, NJ – Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, along with Rutgers Health and RWJBarnabas Health, have teamed up to expand patient services at a new Irvington site.
The partnership, dubbed Combined Medical Group, opened a specialty care location at 50 Union Ave. in Irvington which is planned to offer specialists in obstetrics, gynecology and cardiology. It will also expand additional care offerings in the future, according to the Newark Beth Israel administration.
