The victim s 16-year-old sister and her 15-year-old friend had gotten into an argument on June 30 around 5:25 p.m., Newark Public Safety Director Brian A. O’Hara said. The 15-year-old came into the house on the 400 block of Holiday Court at the Wynona Lipman Gardens Apartment Complex, with a man identified as Nazir Cruz, the director said. Cruz fired a handgun at the victim, her mom, a 19-year-old sibling, a 16-year-old sibling, and a 15-year-old male visitor while inside, O Hara said.
