Of the 365 students attending Westmont High School in 2019, 57 percent scored proficient in English Language Arts and 53.2 percent were proficient in math, according to a report recently released by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE).
The report is based on results from the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) exam; a state-mandated exam used to assess the school and student performance in several states nationwide.
In the Westmont Community Unit School District 201, 57 percent of students scored proficient on the ELA portion of the PARCC exam in 2019, and 53.2 percent were proficient in math.
In Illinois, overall, 36.7 percent of students passed the PARCC ELA exam in 2019, and 34.8 percent were proficient in math.
Of the 2,055 students attending Wheaton North High School in 2019, 56.4 percent scored proficient in English Language Arts and 55.1 percent were proficient in math, according to a report recently released by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE).
Of the 1,934 students attending Wheaton Warrenville South High School in 2019, 49.5 percent scored proficient in English Language Arts and 49.9 percent were proficient in math, according to a report recently released by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE).

Pius X’s Markowski named Gatorade Player of the Year
The 6-foot-3 senior center led the Thunderbolts to a 25-0 record and the Class A state championship this past season. Markowski averaged 23.3 points, 13.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game, while converting 59.5 percent of her field goal attempts.

Markowski is the first Gatorade Nebraska Girls Basketball Player of the Year to be chosen from Pius X High School.
