Rowley police, DEA arrest Roxbury man in fentanyl trafficking case

Dec 31, 2020 ROWLEY — A Roxbury man charged with selling fentanyl to an undercover federal agent twice this month was ordered held on $100,000 cash bail following his arraignment Wednesday in Newburyport District Court. Ysidro Minnino, 27, of Washington Street is scheduled to return to court Jan. 5 for a second bail hearing after his attorney, Scott Gleason, said he needed more time to speak with his Spanish-speaking client with the help of an interpreter. In addition to two counts of trafficking more than 10 grams of fentanyl, Minnino was charged with distributing a Class A substance (two counts) and conspiracy to violate drug laws. Local police and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency had been investigating the sale and delivery of fentanyl to Rowley through a Facebook account after being tipped off by a DEA informant.

Dec 17, 2020 NEWBURY — An Attleboro man who thought he was meeting a teen girl for sex Wednesday morning was instead greeted by local police and charged with child enticement and other offenses. Kyle Beauchemin, 43, was also charged with seven counts of providing obscene matter to a minor and disseminating obscene matter. He was arraigned later Wednesday in Newburyport District Court and ordered held on $50,000 cash bail, according to Newbury police.  Assisting local police were members of the Attleboro, Georgetown, West Newbury, Salisbury and Ipswich police along with state police troopers and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.  Beauchemin s arrest is the culmination of a month-long investigation spearheaded by Newbury police Detective Sgt Aaron Wojtkowski. Over the years, his efforts have led to the arrests and convictions of several men who frequent online chat rooms and social media apps looking to connect with teen girls.

Dec 13, 2020 SALISBURY – A local woman with a long history of drug dealing was ordered held on $500 cash bail following her arraignment Friday afternoon in Newburyport District Court on a heroin possession charge, according to court records.  Judith Davis, 40, of CCC Road was pulled over in October and summonsed to court on charges of possession of a Class A substance (subsequent offense), operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license (subsequent offense), and having an open container of alcohol in a vehicle.  Essex County prosecutor Erin McAndrews asked Judge Peter Doyle to hold Davis on $1,000 cash bail based on a lengthy list of drug dealing and possession charges – some of which landed her behind bars for several months.

Amesbury mom held in custody after arrest on illegal gun charge

Dec 17, 2020 AMESBURY - The mother of two small children was thrown behind bars Wednesday after an Essex County prosecutor told a Newburyport District Court judge that local police found a 1970s-era revolver in her apartment closet.  Kylee Hersey, 35, of Clarks Road, was charged with possessing a firearm without a license and improper storage of a firearm, and ordered held on $1,000 cash bail. But because she was on probation at the time of her arrest Tuesday, Judge Allen Swan ordered her held without bail until at least next month s probation revocation hearing.  Essex County prosecutor Shailagh Kennedy asked for $2,500 cash bail considering the 1976 Colt revolver was inside a closet where her two children, ages, 2 and 5 could have seen it.
