Siemens Energy Partners GIL Automation to Expand Local Content Development

Siemens Energy has signed an agreement with GIL Automation to boost the development of local content in Nigeria, in the form of training, skill developments and joint project execution, at the Siemens Energy Rotating Equipment Workshop in Port Harcourt. The agreement highlights Siemens Energy’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the development of the local economy through training, skills development, and investment. The agreement affirms Siemens energy’s continued compliance with the Nigerian Oil & Gas Industry Content Development Act. The agreement was signed at Siemens Energy’s Rotating Equipment Workshop in Port Harcourt, by Seun Suleiman, Managing Director of Siemens Energy Nigeria, and Lawal Gbolahan, Managing Director of GIL Automation, and witnessed by Engr Simbi Wabote, Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB).

Schneider Electric, Bantog to Co-exhibit Nigerian-made Smart Switchgear Panels, Others to Oil Sector

Chiamaka Ozulumba Leaders of digital transformation, energy management and automation, Schneider Electric, has entered a partnership with Bantog Engineering to exhibit its newly launched locally manufactured IEC-Standard Switchgears and other electrical solutions at the Nigerian Oil and Gas (NOG) Conference and Exhibition slated for July 2021 in Abuja. The Head of Building Business Unit, Schneider Electric, Mr Mojola Ola, who disclosed this in a press release noted that the partnership with Bantog has lasted more than four years. He also stated that the collaboration between Schneider Electric and Bantog for joint exhibition at NOG was targeted at showcasing locally manufactured, smart and innovative electrical solutions with features that can be easily integrated into installations and platforms of oil and gas companies using the cloud.

Board recovers $100m from forensic audit remittances

By Edith Ike-Eboh Abuja, July 5, 2021 The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has recovered about 100 million dollars of undisputed obligations from forensic audit remittances between 2010 and 2017. Mr Simbi Wabote, Executive Secretary, NCDMB, made this known this while declaring open the “Nigerian Content Seminar”, at the Nigerian Oil and Gas (NOG) Conference in Abuja on Monday. “In respect of the non-remittance of the NCDMB fund, I wish to announce that we have recovered close to 100million dollars of undisputed obligations from forensic audit remittances between 2010 and 2017. “The disputed obligations are being closed down to bring this exercise to a close.
