Digital technology skills will improve quality of learning in basic education

Daily Post Nigeria Published Professor Segun Ajiboye, Registrar of Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) says training of teachers in digital technology for classroom delivery will help improve the quality of learning in basic education. Ajiboye made the assertion in Ibadan while revealing that no fewer  than 1,771 teachers have already been trained. Ajiboye noted that the training was done in partnership with Teach 4 Nigeria and Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT). Ajiboye noted that the council and the two partners trained the teachers on how to use digital technology in classroom delivery. He added that the teachers were selected from 20 states in the country.

Insecurity: NUT laments reoccurrence of school invasion, abduction of teachers, students

Daily Post Nigeria Published The Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT), on Tuesday, lamented the re-emerging incidence of school invasion and abduction of teachers and students across the country’s educational institutions. NUT also called on the federal, state and local governments to ensure adequate security and 24 hour surveillance around schools in Nigeria. Secretary-General of the union, Dr Mike Ike-Ene, made this known in a statement while reacting to the recent kidnapping of students at the Government Science School in Kankara, Katsina State.
