The Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission, Professor Abubakar Rasheed is leading efforts to produce a revised curriculum for the Nigerian university system that will produce better quality graduates, that are nationally relevant and globally competitive in a post-pandemic era.
The process which started in 2019 and expected to be completed in September 2021, is a key part of the 2019-2023 Blueprint for the Rapid Revitalization of the Nigerian University System.
A former Executive Secretary of NUC, Prof Peter Okebukola who is playing an active role in the process, in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja over the weekend disclosed that the General Assembly which marked the beginning of the final phase of the review was held on Monday, 12, April 2021.

The Nigerian Economic Summit Group has announced the appointment of eight new members into its board of directors.
In a blog post, NESG noted that the appointments were made at its 2021 Annual General Meeting held on Tuesday.
The group listed the newly appointed members to be Managing Partner, Sahel Consulting Agriculture & Nutrition Ltd and Founder, Leap Africa, Ndidi Nwuneli; Group Chief Executive Officer, MRS Holdings Ltd, Amina Maina; and CEO, Total E & P Limited, Mike Sangster.
Other appointed board members are CEO, Flour Mills Nigeria Plc, Omoboyede Olusanya, MD/CEO, Nestlé Nigeria Plc, Wassim El-Husseini; CEO, MTN Nigeria, Karl Toriola; Managing Partner, Agon Continental Ltd, Nnanna Ude, and Managing Partner, Wizer Group, Lanre Akinbo.
