President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed an Academy Adjutant of the Nigeria Defence Academy (NDA), Lt-Col Yusuf Muktar Dodo, as his new Aide-De-Camp (ADC).

A new Aide-de-Camp has been appointed for the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.).
The new ADC, Lt-Col Yusuf Dodo, takes over from Col. Mohammed Abubakar who has been with the President since inception of his regime in 2015.
Abubakar is proceeding to Santiago, Chile for a five-month Strategic and Defence Course from March 8.
The course is a prerequisite for his next promotion to the rank of Brigadier-General.
An ADC is one of the prominent security officials in the “inner ring” of the Presidency.
Others in that category are the Chief Security Office and the Chief Personal Security Officer among others.

President Mohammadu Buhari has appointed the Academy Adjutant of the Nigeria Defence Academy (NDA), Lt-Col Y.M. Dodo, as his new Aide-De-Camp (ADC).
Unconfirmed eports indicate that Dodo will take over from Col. M.L. Abubakar who is said to be proceeding on a promotion course. On completion, Col Abubakar is expected to be promoted to a new rank of Brig-Gen alongside his coursemates.
The Aide-de-Camp (ADC) provides protection and is ready at all times to lay his life for the President.
The ADC approaches every public function and other assignments both within and outside the country with the highest level of precision and seriousness they deserve.
The new ADC takes over from Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Abubakar, who is due for the rank of Brigadier General after completing promotional course in Chile.

Abubakar, who will by the end of February, be the longest-serving ADC to a civilian president (having served in that position for almost six years), and the second longest-serving ADC in the history of Armed Forces of Nigeria after late Colonel Walbe who served General Yakubu Gowon for nine (9) years.
