Mayawati’s comments came a day after Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath approved the design, name and logo of the Noida international airport, which will be constructed in Jewar. “In Uttar Pradesh, be it Ganga Expressway or other development projects or the new airport to be built in Jewar, the whole world knows that these are the eminent models of development formulated in the BSP government. First, the Samajwadi Party and now the present BJP government keeps patting itself on its back over these,” Mayawati said.
According to UP officials, the airport on the outskirts of Delhi is being designed on the lines of the world-class London, Milan and Moscow airports.
“This airport will become the pride of India and will be one of the best in the world,” CM Adityanath was quoted as saying on Thursday. “We will present it as a global brand.
The CM added that the airport will boost development of industrial infrastructure in the state, increase employment opportunities and have a positive impact on manufacturing and exports.

Jewar airport will now be officially known as Noida International Airport
The proposed greenfield airport at Jewar in Uttar Pradesh s Gautam Buddha Nagar will now be officially known as Noida International Airport. The nomenclature of the greenfield airport was finalised by Zurich Airport International and UP government in the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, according to an official statement.
The airport is being developed by Swiss developer Zurich Airport International AG. The company has finalised the design, logo and name for the airport, which was later reviewed by CM Yogi Adityanath on Thursday.
