Trains on Aqua Line to run at 10-min gap | Noida News

An Aqua Line Metro train NOIDA: The Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) will shift its schedule of trains from July 19 after the change in the timings of the night curfew. The trains were so far running at an interval of 15 minutes during rush hours and 30 minutes during non-peak hours. Now it will run at an interval of 10 minutes during peak and 15 minutes during non-peak hours. The peak hours are generally between 8am and 11am and 5pm and 8pm. Trains will continue to remain unavailable during the weekend. The ridership of the Noida-Greater Noida line on Friday stood at 8,895. “All Covid protocols are being followed at the Aqua Line stations and the ridership is showing signs of increase,” NMRC MD, Ritu Maheshwari, said.

Representative image NOIDA: The Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) will monetise its under-utilised or unused parking lots at various stations. The company will rent out the spots at these locations to food truck operators to generate revenue. NMRC has invited ‘expressions of interest’ (EOI) from vendors to set up food trucks at various stations. Each truck will be given an area of around 25sqm to set up its service. According to NMRC officials, 15 stations have been offered for food, recreational and utility truck facilities. The vendors will organise their own waste management system and set up the costs. An official release by the metro service providers said, “NMRC will be providing the vendors with electricity charges. The selection of the candidate will be based on the highest bids. The bidders will have to deposit a processing fee of Rs 10,000 to apply for the scheme.
