White House comments on Connecticut s vaccine distribution plan

Gov. Lamont announced Connecticut s vaccination distribution rollout plan will be aged-based on Monday. Well, we make recommendations at the federal level for a reason, because there are groups that we feel should be prioritized, whether they’re frontline workers, healthcare workers, individuals over a certain age as you noted, said Psaki. Our objective, of course, is to get to the stage where there’s recommendations for people who are much younger, who don’t have pre- you know, health conditions that would mean they would qualify.

Arizona residents 75 or older will be next to receive COVID-19 vaccines

Arizona residents 75 or older will be next to receive COVID-19 vaccines ABC15 and last updated 2020-12-29 08:41:57-05 PHOENIX — A committee comprised of local, state and tribal officials announced Monday that Arizona residents 75 or older are next in line to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. The Arizona Vaccine and Antiviral Prioritization Advisory Committee made the recommendation as they consider older residents to be more likely to experience severe COVID-19 complications and be hospitalized compared to younger people. “One of Arizona’s top priorities since the start of the pandemic has been to protect our most vulnerable,” said Governor Doug Ducey. This updated prioritization will get older Arizonans vaccinated sooner, further protecting those most at-risk and relieving the strain on our hardworking health care professionals. My thanks to the trained vaccinators across the state working to mitigate the spread of the virus and protect Arizonans.”
