A VACCINATION CLINIC IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW AT NORWOOD HIGH SCHOOL AND THAT IS A BIG STEP BECAUSE THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH TOLD US TODAY THAT IT IS UP TO SCHOOLS TO DECIDE WHETHER THEY WANT TO REQUIRE MASKS FOR THOSE THAT ARE FULLY VACCINATED. A quarter of Westmoreland County’s 16 district courts will see a new judge in 2022. “We ran a race together, the Liberty Mile in Pittsburgh,” said Norris’ partner, Megan Nelson of Export. “I run a seven-minute mile, but we started the race and all of a sudden I realized I was about to die, he was running so fast. He finished in 6 minutes and 11 seconds, fifth in his age group, and that was straight off the couch with no training.”
When Nelson yelled at him for “running all-out like that, he just looked and me and said, ‘You told me it was a competition,’” she said.
Norris lost his life in a September 2020 motorcycle crash, and Nelson organized a memorial race that will take place April 24 in Norris’ hometown of Export.

Property owners in the Norwin School District will not have to pay more in school taxes in the 2021-2022 school year for the first time since 2011, Norwin’s top official promised.
In promoting a commitment of doing more with less, Superintendent Jeff Taylor told the school board Monday there will not be a tax hike “unless the board directs me otherwise.”
Norwin levies a property tax of 82.4 mills in the Westmoreland County portion of the district. That includes 1.2 mills for the Norwin Public Library, which generates about $490,000.
