The University of Arkansas at Little Rock has launched a new Leadership Academy to provide customized and affordable professional development training for local businesses and organizations.
The Leadership Academy provides leadership development to support professional growth within the organization. The Leadership Academy offers a variety of training in areas including business decision-making, personnel management, and communication. Courses are offered in person or in hybrid learning.
“The need for the Leadership Academy came from the industry,” said Dr. Otmar Varela, director of the Leadership Academy and professor of management. “After conducting several focus groups last year with local business experts in leadership development, we realized the need for the academy. We believe this program offers a tremendous opportunity to provide unique training for the business community.”
DSP, three SHOs ordered to appear before PA’s committee today

LAHORE: Punjab’s home department directed one DSP and three SHOs to appear before Privileges Committee of the Punjab Assembly today (Thursday). According to sources, MPA Suhail Shaukat had complained before the Privileges Committee that one DSP and three SHOs of Lahore had breached privilege of an elected member by entering his house without any kind of search warrant. He had complained that on January 13, 2021, his resident in Batapur Lahore, DSP Rana Atif, SHO Naeem Bajwa, SHO Mian Liaqat and SHO Zulfiqar entered without any permission and without search warrant. They spread terror in the area by firing in the air. They had broken lock of the gate, he mentioned in the privileged motion submitted to the Privileges Committee. LAHORE: Police raided the house of PML-N ex-MNA Sohail Shaukat Butt in Cantt area and allegedly harassed him and his family.
Mr Shaukat filed an application with the DIG Operations levelling allegations of manhandling him and harassing his family members by the police.
He alleged that over 200 police personnel made their forced entry into his residence at Bhaseen village near Batapur.
The heavily equipped policemen broke the main door and resorted to massive firing, terrifying him, his family members and the people living in the surroundings.
