Police said she was walking against the pedestrian crossing signal and was not in the marked crosswalk when she was hit by a 2020 White Mercedes which did come to a complete stop but the pedestrian did not survive the impact. The Brick Police Traffic Safety Unit were joined on scene by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Criminal Investigation Unit and the NJ Department of Transportation.
