Nassau County woman arrested after attempting to steal school bus

YULEE, Fla. – A woman in Nassau County was arrested Friday night, accused of attempting to steal a school bus from the Nassau County School Board.
Melissa Gail Lacey, 48, was found lying down on the floor of the bus which was parked in front of a house around 2:30 a.m., according to the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office.
Homeowners found Lacey’s car in their driveway and, after discovering she was in the bus, told authorities she did not have permission to be in there.
NCSO said the key was in the bus ignition and the airlock doors were pulled open.

Since its local launch in 2002, the drive has collected more than a quarter-million articles of clothing and necessities for First Coast residents. WJCT also distributed backpacks with school supplies, books, personal hygiene products, a blanket, Daniel Tiger socks and a mask to children in need.

Deputies: Missing teen from Nassau County found safe in Texas
The Nassau County Sheriff s Office says 14-year-old Brianna Flake was found, safe, along with Clayton Nations in Texas.

NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. The Nassau County Sheriff s Office says a 14-year-old girl who was considered missing and endangered has now been found safe in Texas.
Brianna Elizabeth Flake ran away from home a couple of days ago, NCSO said in a Facebook post Monday. They say she was found along with a man she met online, Clayton Nations, who lives in Texas.
