Tiger King Joe Exotic Series From Kate McKinnon Finds Home On Peacock
The unusual story everyone binged last year will now exclusively be on the streaming service.
The Kate McKinnon-led series about Carole Baskin and Tiger King Joe Exotic is changing its roll-out broadcast plans to now exclusively air on Peacock, according to The Hollywood Reporter. When the new show was first announced back in 2020, it originally had an unusual plan to hit three different NBCUniversal platforms: NBC (a broadcast network), Peacock (a streaming service), and USA (a basic cable network). The “Joe Exotic” series starring Kate McKinnon and John Cameron Mitchell will now air only on Peacock instead of on the streamer, NBC, and USA Network as originally planned.
Political correspondent Steve Kornacki has signed a four-year, multimillion-dollar deal with NBCUniversal, the parent company of NBC and MSNBC, the company announced Thursday.
In addition to politics, Kornacki will bring his analytical skills to the “entertainment, sports and streaming networks of NBCUniversal,” the company said in a statement announcing the deal.
NBCUniversal’s Television and Streaming Entertainment group is also developing a game show for Kornacki to host that will involve statistics, sports and politics, the company added.

In addition, Kornacki will join NBC Sports where he ll cover a wide variety of sports including this year s Tokyo Olympics and the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.

Before NBC Universal’s upfront presentation on Monday to advertisers, the company announced dozens of new shows for Bravo, E!, USA Network, Oxygen and SYFY. In the press release, 33 new unscripted shows were announced along with 30 shows returning to the suite of channels.
Among the highlights is a new “Below Deck” spinoff, called “Below Deck Adventure,” which will premiere on Bravo early next year, and is set in the “glacial fjords of Norway.” Also on Bravo will be the tentatively titled “Kandi OLG Project,” premiering later this year, which will follow Kandi Burruss’ expanding Atlanta restaurant project. The much-Instagrammed “Summer House Winter Charm,” a mashup of the Bravo shows “Southern Charm” and “Summer House,” will debut on Bravo in the fall.
