DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Going to the Daytona 500 this year? We got you covered.
While the COVID-19 pandemic left the stands of many sporting events across the country empty, the Daytona 500 will not be. A limited number of fans will be allowed to watch the race at Daytona International Speedway on Sunday, with safety protocols in place.
These protocols include but are not limited to:

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla – Deputies with the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office arrested two men Wednesday who they believe are responsible for a string of burglaries.
Vincent Doyle, 38, and Luis Aponte, 39, were arrested after deputies executed a search warrant at a home along Richards Lane near Daytona Beach, according to a news release.

Investigators said they found 18 new appliances inside the home, some still wrapped in plastic, including microwaves, stoves and dishwashers.

What happened on I-95?
A 21-year-old man from Omro, Wisconsin, and his 18-year-old sister were killed in the head-on collision, and two of their relatives in the backseat were seriously injured.
The injured teenagers were the 13-year-old brother and 17-year-old female cousin of the siblings.
The driver and his sister were following their parents after viewing a holiday lights display at Daytona International Speedway, said Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood.
The youngsters missed their exit while following their family back from the Speedway. Those kids were coming back from Christmas lights at the Speedway and were following family. The family gets on I-4, Chitwood said. “They miss the exit at the same time that this murderer-thug is barreling the wrong way on I-95 and he hits them head-on.
