It’s not just our city’s football fans who should be celebrating. Yet there are still things we need to do, which will help to make our positive future a certainty.
Everyone in Peterborough has a role. That applies to the local elections, which will probably be over by the time you’re reading this column.
It also applies to selling our city, particularly when we talk to people that we know elsewhere. It’s easy to talk ourselves down, but negativity can be contagious.
Fortunately, positive attitudes are also contagious. The more others hear about our strengths, the more our reputation and standing improve.
Supporting people into employment Ynys Mon MP, Virginia Crosbie, who will be working with the Council to assess bids said: “The support of the local Member of Parliament is an important element of cementing success in the Community Renewal Fund and I have already been contacted by a number of local charities, businesses and enterprises keen to put forward their ideas. “I am already speaking with Ministers from the Department for Housing, Communities and Local Government who are administering the fund. I want to promote Anglesey as an area in real need of levelling up so that we can maximise our chance of success.
