The OPP, Saugeen Shores Police, Bruce County paramedics and the Saugeen Shores Fire Department were dispatched to the main beach just before noon for a possible drowning, the OPP said in a news release Tuesday afternoon.

Witnesses reported seeing a paddleboarder fall off his board in the deeper water beyond the marked swimming area. The man then appeared to struggle while calling for help.
Civilians were able to pull the victim back onto shore “where life-saving measures were performed” according to the police’s media release.
