Pakistan State Oil (PSO) has signed multiple infrastructural MoUs of strategic importance with Pak Arab Refinery Limited (PARCO) and Pak Arab Pipeline Company (PAPCO) which aim to safeguard the country’s petroleum product supply chain and enable economical and environment friendly transportation of fuels. The entities will jointly develop a strategic pipeline link of 20 km between the ports of Keamari and Port Qasim for the transportation of motor gasoline and high speed diesel called the Keamari Korangi Link Pipeline 2 (KKLP-II). This is a major milestone on the road to sustainability and environment friendly initiatives as it will significantly reduce harmful tailpipe emissions, ensure safe transportation of highly volatile petroleum products and ease traffic congestion in Karachi and other cities.
PSO Enters into Strategic Partnership with PARCO and PAPCO
Pakistan State Oil (PSO) has signed multiple infrastructural memorandums of understanding (MoUs) of strategic importance with Pak Arab Refinery Limited (PARCO) and Pak Arab Pipeline Company (PAPCO).
These MoUs are intended to safeguard Pakistan’s petroleum product supply chain and enable the economical and environment-friendly transportation of fuels.
The entities will jointly develop a strategic 20 km long pipeline link called the ‘Keamari Korangi Link Pipeline 2 (KKLP-II)’ between the port at Keamari and Port Qasim for the transportation of motor gasoline and high-speed diesel.

20km fuel pipeline planned

KARACHI: Pakistan State Oil (PSO), Pak Arab Refinery Limited (Parco) and Pak Arab Pipeline Company (Papco) will jointly develop a 20-km pipeline link between Karachi port and Port Qasim for fuel transportation.
PSO and PARCO also agreed to explore the option of developing a terminal at Hub having a single point mooring system which will allow imports through VLCC tankers.

ISLAMABAD: A sub-committee of the Economic Advisory Council (EAC) on state-owned entities (SOEs) on Friday called for expediting the process of privatisation and empowering their board of directors at the earliest to improve their management structures.
Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Shaukat Tarin presided over the meeting of the sub-committee of EAC on SOEs and privatisation. Minister for Privatisation Mohammedmian Soomro, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Institutional Reforms and Austerity Dr Ishrat Hussain and private members Arif Habib and Sultan Ali Allana attended the meeting.
