NOWSHERA: Liaqat Khattak became the first casualty of the Pakistan Terheek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s electoral defeat on the provincial assembly constituency PK-63 as he was de-notified as the provincial minister for irrigation.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shah Farman de-notified Liaqat Khattak as minister after receiving a summary from Chief Minister Mahmood Khan.
Liaqat Khattak and his son Ahad Khattak, who is a former tehsil nazim, were accused of supporting the rival candidate PML-N candidate Ikhtiar Wali, who with the support of the component parties of the 11-party opposition alliance Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) defeated the PTI nominee Mian Umar Kakakhel.

WANA: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday called for open hearing of the foreign funding case of all political parties, including the PTI, PML-N, PPP and JUI-F, for clarity of the issue among the masses.
He said that it would be clear who got funds and from where as well as their sources of foreign funding. He said the PTI is the only party which had raised political funds.
About the PDM gathering outside the ECP Office on Tuesday, the prime minister remarked if he had known the number of people attracted by 11 political parties, he would have asked the PTI workers to join them at the show.
