Hydro One has selected a preferred route for its planned Chatham to Lakeshore transmission line and is looking for additional public comment.
The proposed route would begin at the Chatham switching station on Communication Road and run north of Highway 401 until Gracey Sideroad. It would then extend to the site of a proposed switching station to the southwest of Comber.

According to Hydro One documents, this route – which is called Alternative 2A – was the most preferred in three out of four categories and the second most preferred in the fourth category.
